Can't have too many brushes!

That's my motto. Substitute the word "brushes" with "overlays", "distress tools"...
Luckily, we have our generous Heather (of Design by Heather T.) at Mscraps who answers calls of needy scrapbookers for such elements!
And here is her third set of Grunge Brushes, released today at Mscraps:

and here is what I do with brushes:

Welcome Summer!

After the prolonged period of rainy and windy weather, the temperature outside is finally to my liking. And Heather Taylor couldn't be better on time with her new kit, full of sunny and bright elements.

My obsession with droplets

Meet my obsession.
One of many. I can't get enough of photographing droplets. I'm always amazed by what they will show me - their own reflexion of my reality. It's better then finding pearls, it's finding a whole new world in pearls.
You can find the set HERE.

can you see my house in it?

How we didn't make it to the University Falls

Some places in Yosemite NP are still closed due to snow conditions. So, instead of planned trip to Yosemite we opted for a day trip to the Georgetown area in Sierras - namely University Falls.
Usually, my husband doesn't need a map on a trip after studying the route beforehand. Plus, he has some sort of GPS built-in his brain. But this time, even a topographic map on his phone wasn't helpful, we just couldn't find the right way. Mind you, no official trail there. The trip that should be just under 6 miles long turned out to be 8 miles and we didn't find the falls.
Well, maybe some other time.

More Photos here.

Walking in San Francisco

I didn't share photos from our recent trip to San Francisco yet. Not the best pictures but shows a little bit of the city - Financial District and the Chinatown. All photos here.

And you thought freebie time was over?

Happy Mother's Day! I hope you spent the day beautifully.

I have one more freebie - a Lightroom preset!
You probably don't know that I live in a region where Gold Rush was happening in 1848. There are many historical buildings, remnants of gold mines and stores with panning supplies.
I made a preset that is especially suitable for vintage photos, called - what else - Gold Rush.

Here are some previews:

(former prison Alcatraz, San Francisco, preset Gold Rush Faded)

and HERE is the download link, enjoy!!

Going on 45

Yesterday was my birthday. The double chair, I call it. Oh...excuse me, 44th.
Thanks for all the wonderful wished, I really appreciate it!
We had fabulous dinner with friends. Since my birthday doesn't count as a regular day, I indulged myself:

The Chocolate SoufflĂ© with mint and vanilla ice cream. When you cut the form -  hot chocolate heaven-ness (is that a word?) spills all over the I get your attention?

How do I feel? Pretty good. See for yourself. There is still so much I want to accomplish and it's never too late to start something new!

credits soon
