Wild turkeys in our neighborhood

This is my first attempt on a collage. Digital. I am always surprised how blending turns out with all the layers underneath, so much fun!!
The photo is from a zoo, Jakub was shrieking and making other funny noises at animals! I couldn't tell if he was excited or trying to communicate! lol   1993

Tub Time!!! I love the pattern of this stamp (3 Paper Peonies) and the corresponding paper from the Commitment kit, it was similar to a tile design we had in our bathroom. If my memory serves me right, Barbora was trying to get out of tub while Jakub was happy munching on a plastic, squeaky baby book. 1992.

Our kids used to have a lot of fun while sitting on their potties, there were long chatting sessions, checking each other's content frequently, "reading" and, of course, some kissing!!! Prague, 1993

More layouts

This layout is my lift of a page by Zarishka for Vinnie Pearce's challenge Lift This. I tried to re-create the shadows the same way to show the depth of Zarishka's layout but I'm not entirely satisfied with the results. Anyway, it was a beautiful page to lift.

Another fun challenge. According to this color test, my color is black. For the April Color Challenge at Mscraps, we were creating pages using mostly the color from the quiz. Again, our daughter Barbora ( she was 10) as a great subject, the picture is from boating on Lake Berryessa, 2001.

Lastly, a page ( at 2Peas in a Bucket) made with Vinnie Pearce's new kit Live Laugh Love. What a great motto! I played with the photo using Mulletgod's actions and I love the way it turned out. The picture for this page is - in my opinion - perfect. Imagine the whole crew screaming and barking!! Too much fun!!

As a last thing, a creation by Fabienne, I'll definitely try this, amazing!!

Happy Easter, we killed Easter Bunny!

It's been really cold here ( Northern California ) this week. Not much hiking - more scrapping!!
First layout: my mom trying to keep together my two little bugs, our summer cottage, 1992.

Other page is my Happy Birthday card for Designer Digitals which celebrates 5 years of its existence. I love this place with very friendly forum and gallery!! I especially like that the layouts in the gallery are very personal as are the comments on them. Check the gallery to see what I'm talking about. You can find layouts in different styles - traditional ( not exactly my cup of tea), simple and what I love most: artistic and fun.

Credits here and here.

As for the Easter Bunny, my husband made one of our favorites from Crete: Rabbit Stifado. An amazing stew with lots of onion, tomatoes and wine. Total delicacy!!!

Happy Easter everyone!!

San Franciso Bay in the morning

Barbora ( our daugther) decided to devote her Sundays to volunteering at a marine mammal rescue center in Sausalito, near San Francisco, as her senior project. It's a 2 hour drive and she starts at 7 am!!
Last week we decided to drive her there. The waking up was killing me but we got to see SF Bay in the morning, which was absolutely amazing!!

Later, we drove to Point Reyes, one of our favorite destinations, too bad it's about 3 hours from were we live. ( the Sacramento area). It's beautiful, pristine and somewhat harsh region north from San Franciso.
So while Barbora was cleaning fish, making fish mush and assisting at seal pups cots, we watched grey whales migrating back to Alaskan waters from the lighthouse, tasting oysters at an oyster farm - the freshest possible you can have - and walking by the shore.

Yeah, that's little me munching on a granola bar...

The picture in the layout is from our January hike at Point Reyes, different tip of the peninsula. The falls are hidden from the main trail - truly a gem!
